Praying With An Understanding of Prayers Application !

Prayer is loving communication with God . Prayer is the expression of our inner spiritual needs . Through prayer we can find strength of spirit, guidance, wisdom, joy, and inner peace ( Psalms 118 :5--6 ,Psalms 138 : 3 , Isaiah 58 : 9--11 , Philippians 4 : 6--7 , 1st Peter 5 : 7 ). Prayer may be long or short , alone or in a group , silent or aloud, but it should be a true communication with God and not done for public recognition ( Matthew 6 : 5--8 ). Our Lord spent a lot of time praying. He often went to a solitary place and prayed for hours at a time , especially at difficult times in His ministry ( Matthew 14th :23 , 26th : 36 ---41, Mark 1st :35, Luke 5th : 16th, 6th :12th ). Jesus shares with us how we should pray in what we see as The Famous Lord's Prayer , here in Jesus gives us a model of the perfect prayer : We are to pray like this, Our Father in heaven , Hollow will be thee Name, thee Kingdom come , thee will be done on earth as it is in Heaven , Give us this day our daily bread , and forgive us our sins , as we have forgiven those who sin against us . And lead us not into temptation , but deliver us from evil . Now we know that God will answer our prayers. However Jesus said this to us : " Ask, and it shall be given to you ; seek , and you shall find ; knock , and it shall be open to you . For everyone who asks receives . Often we must be persistent in prayer . However the answer , when it comes , may be in a from radically different than what we expected , and we must be alert to that possibility ( Deuteronomy 3 :23--27, 2 Corinthians 12 : 7--9 ). God frequently uses others people , such as physicians , friends , relatives or new acquaintances , to supply an answer to our prayers (Daniel 10 :11th --12th , Acts 9th : 10th ---17th ). Sometimes , the answer must come from within ourselves and persistent prayer will help us find that answer . We may need a new attitude or a different way of looking at things ( Matthew 5th --8th , Roman's 2nd : 1st--5th , 1st John 4th : 7th --8th ) , or we may need to make amends with someone ( Matthew 6th : 14th --- 15th ). God speaks directly to Abraham , Jacob , Moses, Isaiah ,Jesus and a few other people in the Bible . People know this ; God does hear the prayers of sinners and the unsaved alike .

Don't Go Over Board

Sometimes , life has it's trouble sea's  that causes us to question God and the roll

He has in our situation  .   So just think  the disciples of Jesus  ,  as they  was in trouble

waters son the sea of Galilee one day and encounter a sudden change the weather  .  So as we

journey through life , we to will experience stormy times in our travel  . So

remember this   ; Jesus said  : " The one whom God sent speaks the words of God  . He

does not ration his gift of the Spirit  . The Father loves the Son and has given

everything over to him  . Whoever believes in the Son has eternal  life  . "  ( John

Chapter 3 : 31 - 36 ) .  That phrase catches one's attention : " He does not ration his gif

of the Spirit  ." Jesus isn't miserly with his gifts  . He's like His  , Father serving up

favor , with enough blessing for an army  .  I too see His bountiful generosity

everywhere in the Gospels  . Look at John's Gospel alone . At Cana , Jesus doesn't dole

out the wine  ( and good wine at that  ) .
