Something You Should Know About Your Death!

Have you ever wonder why, when the doctor say to you your dying you get up sat ? Maybe it's because you haven't gotten your house in order with the Lord. Some people just don't like to talk about death. But as life would have it you have a say in what's said about you when your time come. Where as Jesus is the only one that knows how and when your life will end. You do know our time is in His hand, right? "A eulogy is both art and architecture -- a bridge between the living and the dead, memory and eternity." The Bible contains little that corresponds to our modern eulogy. Yet Jesus paid a great tribute to John the Baptist when he faced the looming threat of execution by Herod. From prison , John sent his disciples to confirm the identity of Jesus the Messiah (Matt.C-11:v2-6). Jesus talked with them, then told the listening crowd,"Among those born of women there has not  risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he"(v.11). John knew how to make a royal exit. Jesus' tribute captured the essence of the desert-dwelling,straight-preaching John, who was maligned and misunderstood as he prepared the way for the Son of God. John's greatness was more than personal; it was wrapped up in the kingdom of God. He wrote his own eulogy by his actions. As we ponder what we might say about others at their passing,it's also a good time to ask,"what will people say about me when it's time to say goodbye?"  "Assuredly,I say to you it would be more than Grace,to have Jesus do my eulogy. So,not only doses Jesus know your time,it's in His plan of life to know your end. Here's what He told Peter,in (John C-21:v.18-19); 18."Most assuredly,I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old,you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish."19.This He spoke, signifying by what death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this,He said to him, "Follow Me." So my brothers and sisters in Christ, our living and dying serve only to glorify God.
